SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY

The Mission To learn "The Way The Truth and The Life" to "abide" in Yeshua (Jesus) and His words fulfilling the purpo...

Scribes are you one?

We do not think of scribes today, it was something in scripture the word was used more. Yet Yeshua said He sent them: Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: So we know this is what Christ sent. So His chosen disciples fit these skills, probably all had all three of them. Then you go looking and He said: Woe unto you, scribes and said this 7 times even. Makes you not want to be one, I don't want to be a "woe". Yet this was always said the same: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Moses represented the Law, put judges in place, plus had face to face contact with God. And not once did He say it to the Sadducees, I just discovered that myself looking, why?

Who Were the Sadducees'

Yeshua only spoke of them two times one was this the other one similar: Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees So we do know they did mix their teachings not staying with truth. The difference between them I remembered seeing noted by Matthew was they did not believe in the resurrection Mt 22:23. So what sect was worse?  It was the priests that condemned Christ.  His focus was on the Pharisees because of this: The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: and they did believe in the resurrection. They say the current Jews are the Pharisees.

What is a Scribe

The Greek meaning:

from G1121. a writer, i.e. (professionally) scribe or secretary:—scribe, town-clerk.

from G1125; a writing, i.e. a letter, note, epistle, book, etc.; plural learning:—bill, learning, letter, scripture, writing, written

a primary verb; to "grave", especially to write; figuratively, to describe:—describe, write(-ing, -ten).

There were two divisions within the house of the Lord. Moses seat as I said was not only the Law, but judges, writers of the history, the prophets and tax collectors. So in a sense, that represents government of the people. They did have scribes that not only wrote but as you see "learning" is also mentioned and scripture. So would also be the Lawyers, tax collectors.

The Sadducees are the "chief priests" meaning this represents the House of Levi that ministers to the Lord plus did the sacrifices at the temple one of the first places Yeshua turned the tables over, yep that was them. They only believed in Torah, first 5 books of the Law, had their scribes who would write scrolls of the Law for people. Scribes also did teach from the Torah especially to the Levites. So that would be like the pastors and teachers also. These would be sent out to have Levite teachers within synagogues.

What do we have today?   Well, they say Pharisee today, that is mainly because there are no real sacrifices any longer, but they do supposedly have Levites. So what is taught now they do have readings from the Law, the prophets so it is combined. Do they all believe in resurrection?  No, I even ran into a Jew on my forum he didn't believe in resurrection. You sometimes wonder if you get what you believe that is a topic for another post.

So What Do You Call A Blogger As Myself

I am not a scribe nor a prophet nor a wise man, so how do people like us fit in? Well John explains it via scripture John 21:25 (KJV) And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.  He is still doing in our lives today!

It is a desire for people to know the Lord actively works in our lives daily without us even taking notice. It is the desire to show people they do and can have a personal relationship with the Lord as He tells us how. These things to me are not taught in church, so who would even mention them except the ones desiring for others to see and believe it can be with all His people. Encouragement to not give up and to ask the Father, not the pastor. Keeping those things silent not spoken to a soul but mentally to Father only sparks a new zeal for the Lord, it did for me and I feel I miss it a lot, I even posted a simple thing called: What is a Miracle? We fail to see, ask the Lord to open your eyes to see. have you ever done even that? Probably not you might go to friends or pastor not to Father.  So ponder these things today.
